Hawai'i Diamond Approach
The Diamond Approach is a teaching dedicated to the discovery, development, and preservation of the human essence. Founded by A. H. Almaas (the pen name of Hameed Ali), it is a complete spiritual path that considers the totality of the human being. It differs from most other paths in that it recognizes the uniqueness of each individual soul and adapts itself to each person's needs at the time. The Diamond Approach does not require that people adapt to some ideal, but welcomes people as they are and helps them to take the natural next step for their unique development. It is a path of self realization and human maturity based on an original synthesis of modern discoveries in the field of psychology and a new paradigm about spiritual nature. Hawai'i Diamond Approach was founded in 1988 by Deborah Ussery Letofsky and Morton Letofsky, who were among A. H. Almaas's first students. They started the first group on Maui in 1988. A teacher training led to a number of early students becoming teachers, creating support for more students and the formation of additional groups, which has furthered the growth of Hawai'i Diamond Approach.
Upon the passing of Morton and Deborah, it was their wish that Thomas Weinberg and Christine Dveirin take over teaching the Hawai'i Diamond Approach group.

The Approach
Exploring our personal lives we work with our conditioning to unveil various spiritual qualities of presence – love, clarity, peace, strength, will, truth, and so on. These aspects of our essence are readily revealed through the heartfelt understanding of our normal everyday experience.
In this way we can attain spiritual realization and at the same time become liberated from our psychological patterns and limitations. Such an approach makes it possible to be a full human being in the world, involved in regular everyday activities, while grounded in eternal spirit.

Ways to Engage
At the present time, the Hawai'i Diamond Approach group is closed to new students (except for the possibility of transferring in from another group at a similar place in the teachings). If you are interested in joining a possible new group, please reach out through the contact page and join our mailing list to be informed of any public events or plans to form a new group.
You can also begin engagement with the Diamond Approach through one-on-one spiritual inquiry sessions (online or in person) with a teacher.
