In Memoriam

Morton Letofsky and Deborah Ussery Letofsky, founders of Hawai'i Diamond Approach

Morton Letofsky and Deborah Ussery Letofsky were among Hameed Ali's first students. Teaching the Diamond Approach and training Diamond Approach teachers was their life's work. They founded Hawai'i Diamond Approach, and later Gulf Coast Diamond Approach. They were the directors of the Hawaii Teacher Training, and later had key roles with the Ridhwan School's Seminary Training Program – Deborah as the U.S. director, and Morton as the director of the mid-region. Morton was president of the Ridhwan Foundation for many years, and both Morton and Deborah served terms on the Ridhwan School's Synod leadership body.

Besides leading groups, Morton and Deborah worked with private students and supervised Diamond Approach teachers. We feel privileged to be heirs to this lineage, and we remember them with gratitude, love, and respect.
